Greetings and welcome to my newly upgraded site. I trust you’ll enjoy it. What’s new—besides the site, that is?

Some things never change: I am in the midst of my travel schedule, but soon I’ll take a break to hang with family mid year. Do they travel with me? Yes, some…but of course, my daughter is an adult now with her own life…having grown up traveling all over the world, she’s happy to cool her jets…but I do talk her into some trips every now and then. My wife enjoys being with her parents and siblings and their families, but we’re making plans to be together on various trips this year. Having just ‘retired’ from 12 years of overseeing our daughter’s education, my wife is taking a much deserved 2 year hiatus from teaching!

Meanwhile, when home, I love blobbing out with my fam, critiquing film with my daughter, hangin’ out with my mates, indulging in my reading and creating art (I’ve received two invitations this year to display my collection of ‘Christ Faces’).

With regard to ministry: Yes, we’ve got new teaching materials created and more stuff in the works, including DVDs being groomed for release later this year. We will keep you posted. Music? I am talking with my band and working toward the goal of a ‘retrospective collection’ to celebrate my 10 years as a recording artist.

I have very much enjoyed some great opportunities already in 2005, including seminar events for Palm Beach Atlantic College, West Palm Beach, FL, and I’ve just returned from the Asian mega-church, City Harvest in Singapore, where I spoke in December and in March, conducting church and seminar events. I’ve enjoyed teaching for various YWAM schools, as well as favorite Christian universities such as Azusa Pacific, and North Central…later this year I’m teaching for King’s College in New York City. When will I visit your church?

2004 In Review:

Travel of over 145,000 miles, to 30 cities with 14 cities visited twice, 5 cities visited 3 or more times, in 6 countries on 3 continents. Highlights included:

  • Several Leaders Training and ministry trips to Puerto Rico for Iglesia El Sendero de la Cruz, and New Condition Ministries—delegates attended from several Latin American countries.
  • Four trips to Singapore, including for City Harvest Church, with live broadcasts into 38 countries!
  • An international conference and church events in and near Mexico City, with delegates from several Latin American countries.
  • Several trips Down Under to Australia and New Zealand, including major conference events in Adelaide(B.U. Women’s Conference), Perth (Rise’04), Melbourne (National CareForce Conference) and Brisbane in Australia; Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand.
  • Teaching my own 45 hour course as an adjunct professor for King’s College in Manhattan/New York City…my classroom was in The Empire State Building!
  • That combined with speaking in other Christian colleges/universities, and in the largest Christian high school in Los Angeles, ‘Valley Christian High’ for 3 mornings!
  • A major ‘invest in the midwest’ series of events in Denver, Kansas City, Indianapolis, and Minneapolis—each visited twice, plus Iowa City, & Wichita too!
  • Not to be outdone, The Deep South also showed my ministry hospitality with church and conference events in Charlotte and Asheville NC, Johnson City TN(loved the alternative church ‘Assembly of the Outcast’), Talladega and Birmingham AL too, along with several Florida events as well.
  • The Pacific Coast kept me busy with events from Tacoma and Spokane WA, to Portland OR then south to Los Angeles for several visits in schools and churches.
  • Oh yes, and surviving three direct hits from hurricanes!

All these destinations though, are much more than just locations in a travelogue. Each represents many amazing life stories, ministry opportunities and a lot of much-appreciated prayer and planning efforts! Thank you all for your support and prayers for my family and I and this unique ministry.
Always pursue God!

SO DO YOU EVER GET TIRED OF THE TRAVEL?

I love 'why' I go places, perhaps more than the travel itself, although I still do love travel. I grew up in a family that valued travel and foreign cultures & world history. When I was a little boy, I didn't know what I wanted to do in life, but I loved airplanes... which is a good thing since I basically commute to work in them, logging an average of at least 100,000 miles annually for about 15 years of my 20 years of full time ministry. This translates to about 4 to 5... sometimes 6 continents per year. It's been a great education. My wife and daughter have also traveled a lot with me over the years. It makes you flexible. Fortunately, my wife grew up in a military family that relocated every 3 years making her an understanding partner in our unusual lifestyle. An added bonus, is that many of the places I travel to, I've been to before. I have friendships established with great people and that makes me feel much more at home. I've also met some fantastic cabin crew, many whom I see from time to time so even getting there can be a much nicer experience.
